Inspirations From Spring 2016 Fashion

Spring 2016 colors - rose quartzIn the winter I have more time to follow the fashion trends and I must say this Spring is very promising! The colors are wonderful – blues and pinks – Serenity, Snorkel Blue, Limpet Shell, Rose Quartz, some peach and yellow. So pretty and fantastic! I have a bunch of Rose quartz in my gem bead selection and also the beautiful Blue Chalcedony – it matches perfectly the 2016 fashion color Serenity.
Spring 2016 trends - lavender Rebecca MinkoffI was also browsing some runway showings and saw this gorgeous lavender that Rebecca Minkoff is using, among others. Just so lovely. You almost smell a whiff of spring air when you see that color! Rose quartz, Blue chalcedony, Lavender pearl or Amethyst stone jewelry would match perfectly.

There is also a strong and powerful color for the red lovers – “Fiesta”, fashion experts showcase that in their Spanish influenced clothing with the ruffle dresses and bright attitude.

The fashionistas are also saying that extra long earrings are in and even the idea of wearing completely unmatched pairs! Not sure if I want to go there, but it’s an interesting idea.

  1. Great post!
I’m loving the pinks and purples 🙂

    • Thanks! I’ve always liked that pale lavender color, need to find an eye shadow color to match that! Just realized I also have lavender ice flake quartz that would make e a nice accessory to complement it.

      • I think MAC has a blush thats kind of lavender colour which would look awesome as an eyeshadow!
        That would look amazing together!

  2. I’m a huge fan of the long unmatched earrings – I’ve made some myself and have been waiting for this trend to be more popular! But I’ve found it to be a tough sell w/ the masses. Your red fiesta pedal earrings are so lovely! I think you’ll do well with those. Happy Friday!

    • Thanks for the comment on the earrings! Red is also often a hard color to sell, especially here in Maine 🙂 Sometimes you just have to go with the fun color. I agree that the unmatched earrings are a hard sell, if it’s just a handmade rustic quality it actually may make them more interesting (many times I’ve thought that a pair of my enamel creations just were not matching enough and then learned form a customer that they actually like that quality), but two totally different ones as a pair is hard for people. Might be also a question of self esteem, they might get too many comments!

  3. Your Fiesta earrings are lovely. Perfect for the summer!
